Ken Fowser is a New York based saxophonist firmly rooted in the tradition of jazz while striving to develop his own personal voice and style on the tenor saxophone. He began studying music at the age of 12, and quickly became interested in jazz.  Ken grew up in South Jersey, just outside of Philadelphia. He attended the University of the Arts majoring in jazz performance. During his studies, Ken quickly began making a name for himself throughout the Philadelphia area.  Ken appeared regularly at venues like Chris' Jazz Cafe and Ortliebs Jazz Haus.  In 2004 he transferred to the prestigious William Paterson University.  After graduating, Ken went on to recieve his masters in music at SUNY Purchase. Throughout his musical studies he was fortunate enough to be able to study with such master musicians as Eric Alexander, Grant Stewart, John Swana, Ralph Bowen, Don Braden, Ralph Lalama, and Harold Mabern.  Ken currently lives in New York where he continues to perform and grow as a jazz musician.
